"You gotta put your whole face in it." Nick told him, holding the camera firmly on AJ, knowing the fans were going to love this footage.
"I will, but no ones gonna push my face in…" He protested and Nick promised no one would. Nick encouraged AJ as he took the longest time to sink his head into the freezing water. Nick began to count when AJ's head was in the cooler, but only managed to get to three seconds before giggling insanely. AJ's subsequent headache increased Nick's laughter.
"Ten seconds! Ten seconds!" Nick shouted to AJ when Brian had managed to keep his head in the cooler for ten whole seconds.
"Ten seconds you bastard!" AJ protested and Brian joked about if anyone needed a tan. AJ corrected him and claimed if anyone need frost bite. "This one is a wuss!" AJ said pointing at Howie who would not participate but would only watch the others occupy their time in this Nick-invented-sport. Nick attempted it once more trying to beat Brian's record. Nick was pissed that AJ slowed down with his counting, but could barely open his eyes to protest. His t-shirt was dripping with water now. Things were looking up for Nick. He managed one night without his reoccurring nightmare. Instead he dreamt about his field and Kyra. He was now having fun on the road as if he were one of the boys again-but in the back of his mind, he was constantly being reminded by his fear, that he was one of the boys, but the boy with the secret.
As Nick turned off his camera getting ready for sound check, someone in a distant room was looking for him, with the knowledge that Nick had a guest, waiting for him. It was when Nick was running around back stage after the sound check that he was greeted with his surprise guest.
