| Chapter 1 |
"God Damnit!" Nick said frustratingly. He perched himself rather childishly on the cool tile floor of London Heathrow Airport, and sulked as he watched the empty bag carousel turn. He was in London, doing promotion for their new album "Never Gone." His two suitcases however, were still in the United States. It was seven in the morning, and he had taken too many sleeping pills for the flight and felt groggy and now very irritated. This always happens to me, Nick thought, always. He turned his head to see Brian clutching a sleepy Baylee to his hip and AJ, standing with their suitcases. Nick could tell that Brian was trying his absolute best not to laugh at him, but he could already see the creases in his cheeks from trying not to smirk.
"I haven't got any clothes!" Nick shouted playfully at them. "I haven't got any clothes!" He repeated which instigated the others to laugh. He smiled himself-this was so typical, but it was kinda funny, he thought. He briefly looked at them laughing, and thought how much they would be laughing if he rummaged through their suitcases. A cheeky smile swept across Nick's face-they were not going to like that, but tough, he thought, he didn't have any clothes. He was wearing a grey hooded jumper and an acid washed pair of baggy, torn jeans- he had that, a belt around his waist and a pair of red boxers, which he was wearing. He stood up and kicked his holdall bag full of useless junk, compared to his clothes, for fun.
He then picked it up and decided to take Brian with him to go and hassle the American Airways lady.
As they walked, fans began to recognise them one by one. A polite, brunette girl wandered over to Nick and said good morning.
"Good morning Gorgeous." Nick said in his best English accent giving this girl a kiss on the cheek. She giggled.
"Where's your bags Nick?" She asked enquiringly, noting that Brian was pushing a trolley full of them. Nick sighed and Brian began in hysteria once again.
"There's been a problem with my bags, and they're not here. B-Rock and I are going now to try and find out what we can do about that."
He said, readjusting his holdall bag on his shoulder.
"Oh you poor thing." She expressed genuinely but she couldn't resist giggling along with Brian. "I hope they turn up." She said. Nick thanked her, before dragging Brian and their security guards over to the First Class Arrivals lounge. He planned to leave his stuff there while he enquired over to the procedure of retrieving his lost bags.
An hour later they all squeezed out of the airport, signing autographs and shaking hands as they went. Nick had previously forgotten the noise and the grabbing at clothing and frantic waving and calling his name. He was polite as he could be in his angered and tired state-kissing cheeks as he made his way to his car. He noticed one girl burst into tears after his lips brushed her cheek in a quick peck. His security was dragging him by one arm, as he signed an autograph messily with his right hand. Behind the protection of the tinted windows of his car, Nick sat back and took a deep breath, absorbing it all once more.
"Nick I love you!" He heard a girl shout from outside as the car pulled away. He relaxed listening to his Mettalica CD and smiled as he saw the sights of London go by. It's great to be back on the road, thought Nick happily.
